A Dinosaur Adventure and Baking with Mom

For Finn's birthday, he received a book from his friend Abi call "I'm a T Rex" and he just loves reading it.  Yesterday was the last day for the big Dinosaur exhibit at the San Diego Natural History Museum at Balboa Park so we took a trip to check out the big T Rex and his pals.  On the way we stopped at the fish pond in front of the big bird and plant enclosure. Yes, I am sure there is a fancy name for it, but I don't feel like looking it up. :) He thought the big fish were very cool. Once we arrived at the museum, Finn really liked looking at the fossils and displays showing all the creatures.  It was a nice exhibit.  They had a huge animated T Rex that Jamie took Finn up to say hi.  Right as they got close it bent down and ROARED right at them!  Yeah, he wasn't a fan of that.

Oooh! Fishies!

Can I take him home?

A little kiss for the dino

AHHHHHHHHHHH!

I'm a T Rex!

Later that afternoon Finn and I baked a treat, he helped by holding the bowl and licking the beaters.  Cooking lession #2. :)

Jamaica!

For our fourth anniversary Jamie and I took a trip to Jamaica, just the two of us.  It was so much fun, really romantic and relaxing.  We stayed at the Secrets Wild Orchid in Montego Bay.  It was an all-inclusive resort, the only way to go in my book.  Our room was beautiful and we were lucky enough to get a swim-out suite, which was really cool.  We missed Finn a lot, but he was in good hands with my mom, whom he calls "Gonah" and we were able to Skype with him almost every night.  We had a wonderful time, quite nice just to be able to relax for a few days, no work, no laundry, no cooking!  As they say in Jamaica, "Ya mon!"
The day we arrived, can't wait to hit the beach!
Paradise

I'd been dreaming about this moment for 6 months: lying on the beach bed with a tropical drink in one hand and my book in another. Ahhhhh...

This was the back of our room, spent some time lounging around out here.
Livin' the life

Seriously, look at this!
We took an excursion to Dunn's River Falls near Ocho Rios.  Walked up a 600 foot waterfall, whoo hoo!
The view from one of the seaside restaurants. Did I mention it was all-inclusive? The restaurants were delicious and had beautiful decor.  A+

The obligitory toes and ocean picture, man I wish I was there.
Who doesn't love a swim up bar?
The water is very warm but perfectly refreshing in the 88 degree heat.  The nights were in the high 70's, just right.
This was the night of our anniversary, Happy #4 Babe!
